Ranchi University is set to introduce studies in Statistics and Data Science, aiming to enhance research outcomes and provide students with better career opportunities. In addition, the university will also start courses in Computer Science and the School of Public Policy from this academic session.

The decision follows a meeting held on August 1 under the chairmanship of the Vice-Chancellor, where the introduction of the three new subjects was discussed. The university administration has now begun designing the syllabus, which will later be sent to the Academic Council for approval. These subjects are currently taught in select universities across India.
