Chilla Recipes For Winter Breakfast
Paneer Chilla
Mix whole wheat flour, cumin seeds, turmeric powder and salt in a bowl. Slowly add water to the mixture to create a fine batter with nice consistency. Add chopped coriander leaves and paneer crumbles. Heat a non-stick pan with oil and scoop a ladleful of batter, spreading it into a thin circle. Cook over medium heat until both sides are golden brown, crispy and delicious.
Basic Chilla
To prepare regular chilla, simply combine cumin seeds, turmeric powder, besan and salt in a bowl. Add water to form a smooth batter, then mix in chopped tomato, coriander, green chilli and onion. Cook on a greased non-stick pan. Simmer until bubbles appear, flip and cook until golden brown. Enjoy hot with chutney.

Vegetable Chilla
Combine oats, yoghurt and water in a bowl, letting it settle for 10 minutes. Add salt, baking soda, cumin powder, carrot, bell pepper and green peas. Grease a non-stick pan with oil or ghee and heat it. Spread the batter and cook the chilla over medium flame. Serve it with green chutney.
Moong Dal Chilla
Blend soaked moong dal, ginger and green chilli into a fine paste, adding water as needed. Then, add salt, cumin seeds, spinach and chopped carrots to create a flavourful batter. Grease a pan with some oil and let it heat well. Spread a tablespoon of batter into a circle and cook until it turns brown. Serve hot with chutney to enjoy your cosy winter morning.
