Post-Wax Care Tips: Do you experience irritation or have strawberry legs after waxing? Waxing is an integral part of an individual’s hygiene routine as it removes unwanted hair from different parts of the body and provides smooth and shiny skin. While we all practise an extensive waxing routine, we often forget to take care of our waxed hands and legs. Post-wax care is equally important as waxed body parts become more prone to irritation, redness and inflammation. Here are some essential tips to follow post-waxing to achieve smooth and shiny skin.

Post Waxing Care Tips
Moisturise
Moisturising your skin after waxing is extremely important to retain the skin’s hydration and nourishment. Always use a light-scented moisturiser and apply it vigorously on your waxed skin to prevent any inflammation or redness. Moisturising the waxed skin promotes supple and smooth skin and prevents strawberry legs.
Avoid Touching Waxed Area
When your skin is waxed, it becomes more prone to inflammation and touching it again and again can lead to bacterial infections. Resist the temptation to touch or scratch the freshly waxed skin to avoid adverse reactions.

Let Your Skin Breathe
One of the most important post-wax tips is to let your skin breathe. Applying various products over the waxed skin can lead to infections and inflammation. Give your skin at least 24 hours to heal and rejuvenate before applying any product.
Clothing
The clothes that you wear after you get your skin waxed also make a huge difference. Always opt for loose-fitting clothes over waxed skin as it reduces friction between the skin and the cloth and reduces the risk of irritation and infections.
Exfoliate After Few Days
If you exfoliate your skin as soon as you wax, then you should stop this practice immediately. Always wait for a few days to exfoliate your skin to prevent irritation. Be mindful while choosing the exfoliation products. Using products with vitamin E content can be effective as they have soothing properties for the skin.
