You must first take a small quantity of chickpeas, properly clean them, and soak them overnight in order to prepare the sattu powder at home. The following day, thoroughly rinse the chickpeas three to four times. Then, lay the chickpeas out to dry for 5 to 6 hours in the sun. Once they have dried, toast them in a skillet to easily remove the peels. Allow the roasted chickpeas to cool, and if you want to add some cumin seeds to it to make it more flavorful, do so by adding around 3–4 tablespoons.
