BTS, the iconic Kpop boy band has become a global phenomenon, inspiring millions of fans globally with their unique blend of music, dance and message. The group's seven members, V, Jimin, Jin, Jhope, Jungkook, RM And Suga with their distinct talents and personalities have established themselves as role models for the younger generation. Through their music, they address themes of self-empowerment, love and social issues, resonating with fans from diverse backgrounds.

As superstars, they have built a devoted fan base, known as ARMY who draws inspiration from their music, values and journeys. Interestingly, these Kpop idols have their own role models who have shaped their careers and artistic visions, adding another layer of depth to their already remarkable story. Here, we've listed the role models of each member who has inspired their Kpop stardom.

BTS Members' Role Models

RM

RM, the leader of BTS has openly admired American rappers Kanye West and A$AP Rocky as his role models. West's innovative production style and bold lyrics have inspired RM's musical approach. A$AP Rocky's genre-bending sound and confident stage presence have also influenced RM's artistic vision. Both rappers' fearless creativity has shaped RM's own unique style.

Suga

Suga aka Min Yoongi draws inspiration from a diverse group of role models. American rappers Kanye West, Lil' Wayne, Lupe Fiasco and Hit-Boy have shaped his artistic vision. West's innovative production, Wayne's lyrical prowess, Fiasco's complex rhyme schemes and Hit-Boy's soulful beats have influenced Suga's unique sound. These industry icons' creative styles and bold approaches have inspired Suga's own musical journey.

Jimin

Jimin's role model is Taeyang, a BIGBANG member known for his smooth vocals. As a vocalist in BTS, Jimin admires Taeyang's silky tone and captivating stage presence. Taeyang, also known as SOL is a South Korean singer, songwriter and dancer who trained with YG Entertainment from age 12. His journey, which began with an appearance in Jinusean's 'A-yo' music video has inspired Jimin's own path as a vocalist.

Jin

Jin's role model is T.O.P, a legendary Kpop artist from BIGBANG. Despite not sharing the same position in their groups, Jin admires T.O.P's multifaceted talents as a rapper, singer, songwriter and actor. Jhope

Jhope's role models include A$AP Rocky and J.Cole, two influential American rappers. He also draws inspiration from BIGBANG's G-Dragon and Korean rapper Beenzino. A$AP Rocky's unique style and J.Cole's lyrical depth have shaped Jhope's artistic vision. G-Dragon's impact on Kpop and Beenzino's innovative approach has also inspired Jhope's musical journey, reflecting his diverse tastes and aspirations.

V

V's role model is his father who supported his idol dreams. His dad's encouragement motivates V, the talented singer behind 'Christmas Tree.' In turn, Kim Taehyung has inspired many Kpop idols including Beomgyu from TXT, Younghoon from THE BOYZ, and others who admire his artistry and charisma. V's influence extends to the next generation of idols, showcasing his impact on the Kpop scene.

Jungkook

Jungkook's role models include RM, his bandmate and leader of BTS whom he admires for his leadership and artistry. He is also inspired by G-Dragon whom he considers a mentor and credits with influencing his decision to become a singer. Additionally, Jungkook looks up to Korean celebrity Kim Jungkook, admiring his physique and aspiring to achieve a similar fitness level, showcasing his diverse influences and aspirations.
