BTS Members Military Ranks And Titles: The world-renowned Kpop group BTS has achieved a major milestone: all seven members have now completed their mandatory military service with Suga being the final member to fulfill his duties on June 21, 2025. After two years of dedicated military service, all seven members RM, Jin, Jungkook, Jhope, Jimin, RM and Suga have fulfilled their civic duties. Throughout their service, each member showcased remarkable commitment and excellence, earning esteemed titles and recognition.

From impressive Special Warrior designations to Elite Trainee, each member demonstrated exceptional skill and perseverance. Here, we've compiled the military ranks and titles of every BTS member which they hold during their services.

BTS Members Military Ranks And Titles

BTS V

As a member of the elite Republic of Korea Army's Special Duty Team, Kim Taehyung underwent rigorous training, honing his skills in high-stakes operations such as counter-terrorism, tactical arrests and urban warfare. He garnered a string of prestigious honours including a swift promotion to Sergeant as well as esteemed designations such as Platoon Leader, Special Warrior and Exemplary Shooter. Notably, he persevered through his training despite suffering a cracked rib.

BTS Jin

As the pioneer among his peers, Jin embarked on his military journey, distinguishing himself from the outset by graduating at the top of his basic training class. He was subsequently appointed as a Company Commander Trainee, showcasing his natural leadership abilities. Jin's tenure continued with a stint as an Assistant Drill Instructor in the 5th Infantry Division where he demonstrated exceptional mentorship skills. His outstanding performance earned him an early promotion and the prestigious Special Warrior distinction.

BTS Jhope

As an esteemed Assistant Drill Instructor, BTS Jhope played a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of soldiers, imparting his expertise and experience to new recruits with unwavering dedication and precision. His impressive tenure was marked by numerous accolades including the coveted top prize at the Army's Strong Warrior Speech Contest where he was lauded for his exemplary professionalism and discipline. The prestigious Special Warrior status was also conferred upon him.

BTs Jimin

Jimin's military journey was marked by a series of impressive achievements, beginning with his stellar performance in basic training, where he earned the esteemed Best Trainee Award. He was subsequently assigned to a specialised Artillery Fire Direction Center. Jimin's leadership prowess was further recognised as he rose through the ranks to become a Squad Leader and ultimately achieved the distinguished Special Grade Soldier title.

BTS RM

RM's military tenure was distinguished by his multifaceted roles in the Military Band and as a Chaplain Assistant. He provided moral support and captivating performances at military events. His rapid promotions and recognition as an Elite Trainee culminated in his appointment as Platoon Leader, underscoring his exceptional leadership and dedication.

BTS Jungkook

Jungkook tackled the rigorous role of Lead Cook Soldier, expertly preparing meals for hundreds of soldiers. His unwavering dedication and perseverance in the face of physical demands earned him a swift promotion to Sergeant, a testament to his remarkable resilience and commitment to excellence in all aspects of his service.

BTS Suga

BTS Suga fulfilled his military obligation as a Public Service Worker, adapting to an alternative role due to a pre-existing shoulder injury. Despite not participating in active-duty roles, his dedication and service were acknowledged and valued under South Korea's specialised program, ensuring his contribution was recognised and appreciated.
