What Is Regular Coffee?
Unlike bullet coffee, regular coffee or black coffee, is often consumed plain with water. Regular coffee is loaded with antioxidants, especially chologenic acids and is known to reduce the risk of liver diseases, including fatty liver.
Bullet Coffee vs Regular Coffee: Which Is Better For Liver Health?
As bullet coffee is low in carbs and high in fats, it allows the body to enter ketosis (a fat-burning state), helping to reduce liver fat for those following a ketogenic diet. Bullet coffee does not have added sugars, which are a major reason behind fatty liver diseases. But bullet coffee is high in calories, containing 200-400 calories, which may result in weight gain and obesity, which are major risks for fatty liver diseases. Excessive fat intake from butter or MCT oil may strain the liver, particularly in individuals with preexisting liver diseases. Moreover, if you intake bullet coffee in breakfast, it may lead to deficiencies in essential nutrients like fibre, vitamins and minerals that support the liver function.
Regular coffee, on the other hand, is a better choice as far as liver health is concerned. For maximum benefits, do not add sugar or milk. The presence of high antioxidant, anti-inflammatory properties and the ability to improve liver enzyme levels in regular coffee make it a perfect choice for supporting liver health.
