Treatments For Dark Circles

Mild Chemical Peels: By exfoliating the skin, reducing pigmentation, and promoting skin renewal, mild chemical peels containing glycolic acid, lactic acid, or retinoic acid may help improve the appearance of dark circles. This can be helpful in Pigmentation-related panda eyes, especially in people with darker skin tones.

Fractional CO2 lasers such as Q-switched lasers, or intense pulsed light (IPL) can target excess pigmentation, reduce fine lines, and stimulate collagen production. This helps treat dark circles caused by hyperpigmentation, sun damage, and visible blood vessels under the skin.

Dermal Fillers: Hyaluronic acid fillers are injected under the eyes to fill in hollows, reduce shadowing, and plump the area, making dark circles less noticeable. This can be ideal for Dark circles caused by volume loss, thinning skin, or a tear trough deformity.

Microneedling: It stimulates collagen production by creating tiny controlled injuries to the skin, promoting healing and thickening of the under-eye skin, which may reduce the visibility of dark circles. It can help treat panda eyes caused by thinning skin or fine lines.

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) Therapy: It implicates drawing a small amount of the patient’s blood, processing it to concentrate the platelets, and injecting it into the under-eye area. This boosts collagen production and tissue regeneration, improving skin texture and thickness. PRP treatment can help treat Dark circles caused due to thin skin, poor circulation

Topical Prescription Creams: A board-certified dermatologist can prescribe topical creams that contain ingredients such as hydroquinone, retinoids, or kojic acid to reduce pigmentation and enhance the appearance of the skin.
