For years, neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, and cerebral palsy have been viewed as lifelong conditions with no cure. Treatment options were often limited to managing symptoms through therapy, medication, and support. However, recent advances in brain science and regenerative medicine have sparked new hope for families affected by these conditions. The emerging understanding of neuroplasticity, the brain's ability to reorganise and form new connections, has opened up exciting possibilities for improving treatment outcomes.
Neurodevelopmental disorders are conditions that begin in early childhood and affect how a person thinks, communicates, moves, and interacts with others. These disorders are believed to result from problems in the growth and development of the brain or nervous system. A growing body of research and clinical experience suggests that brain healing is possible through innovative therapies that combine regenerative cellular therapy with supportive treatments like neurorehabilitation, hyperbaric oxygen therapy and nutritional support. In conversation with The Daily Jagran, Dr Pradeep Mahajan, Regenerative Medicine Researcher & Founder of StemRx Hospital & Research Centre, shares how neurodevelopmental disorders can be treated through brain healing.
Shifting the Perspective: The Brain Can Change
In recent years, new findings in brain science, especially in neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to reorganize and form new connections, have sparked hope. Just like how muscles can grow stronger with exercise, the brain can also “rewire” itself, especially when given the right stimulation and care.
Dr Pradeep Mahajan states, “This evolving understanding means that we’re no longer only managing symptoms; we’re working to improve the root cause: how the brain functions. Cutting-edge therapies for neurodevelopmental disorders and integrate regenerative cellular therapy with a range of supportive treatments to foster genuine and lasting healing.”

The focus should be on brain healing and overall development. Core treatments include cellular therapy using ethically sourced stem cells, along with tailored neurorehabilitation (physical, occupational, and speech therapy). Dr Pradeep Mahajan explains, “Hyperbaric oxygen therapy boosts brain activity, while detox and chelation remove harmful toxins. Nutritional and gut health support, combined with counselling and family guidance, ensure well-rounded and lasting progress.”

Many parents have reported seeing meaningful improvements in their children: better communication, reduced hyperactivity, improved walking and coordination, and enhanced social interaction. While results vary, these stories offer hope that wasn't available just a few decades ago. We are living in a time where medical science is rewriting what’s possible.
The outdated belief that neurodevelopmental disorders are “untreatable” is being replaced with a more optimistic and science-backed approach.
