Intermittent fasting is not recommended for everyone, despite its increasing popularity due to its suggested health benefits and potential for weight loss. Intermittent fasting carries hazards and may have a negative impact on health for those with any kind of medical condition, including diabetes or eating disorders. Furthermore, a long-term intermittent fast may be challenging for certain people, which can cause feelings of deprivation and frustration.
If scheduled carelessly, intermittent fasting may also not supply enough nutrients, which could result in shortages and other health problems. Therefore, even though intermittent fasting could be helpful for certain people, it might not be appropriate for everyone. Intermittent Fasting Has Been Linked To Excessive Weight Loss In Older Adults
While there may be advantages to intermittent fasting, its effects on older people are less certain. Excessive weight loss can have detrimental effects on bones, the immune system, and energy levels; however, most studies have concentrated on young or middle-aged persons.
