How To Make Sabudana Tikki For Navratri Fast: Navratri is just around the corner and it’s time to feast on some delicious and traditional delicacies. Sabudana dishes are a staple during this period and amongst them, Sabudana Tikki is a favourite. You can prepare this yummy snack on any day of Navratri and it simply goes irresistible with a ‘piping hot cup of tea.' Sabudana is not only great for fasting as it provides a light but filling meal. Some other popular Sabudana recipes are Sabudana Khichdi, a classic favourite made with soaked tapioca pearls and Sabudana Vada, crispy fritters made with soaked Sabudana and boiled potatoes. Here is a simple recipe for sabudantikki that you can prepare during the Navratri fast.
Sabudana Tikki: Ingredients List
250 gms Sabudana (sago)
100 gm Potato, boiled and peeled
50 gram Peanuts roasted & crushed
10 gram Ginger, finely chopped
10 gm Green Chilli, finely chopped
10 gm Coriander green, finely chopped
5 gram Cumin powder
Salt (sendhaNamak)
Black Pepper powder
Desi Ghee/ Ref oil 50 ml

Easy Sabudana Tikki Recipe: How To Make Sabudana Tikki For Navratri Fast?
Step 1: Soak Sabudana
Soak sabudana in a large bowl for at least 30 minutes. After soaking, squeeze out the excess water from the sabudana and set it aside.
Step 2: Prepare The Mixture
In another large mixing bowl, combine the boiled and grated potato, peanuts, ginger, coriander leaves, cumin powder, salt and black pepper well by hand.
Step 3: Shape The Patties
Prepare small, flat patties from the mixture.
Step 4: Roast The Tikki
Roast the sabudanatikki (patties) on a medium-hot tawa. Apply a few teaspoons of ghee for even roasting. Flip the tikki over once one side turns golden brown.

Step 5: Serve
Spread ghee again and roast both sides of the tikki until they're golden and crispy. Finally, serve the sabudanatikki with a bowl of curd.
