In a conversation with Jagran English, Ms Ruchika Jain, Chief Clinical Nutritionist at Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj explained the effectiveness of green tea and black tea and which one is better for quick weight loss.

According to Dr Jain, tea is a beverage cherished all over the world with green and black tea being the most favoured sections. Both beans have unique health benefits which leaves many wondering which brew is better. For those who are on a quest for weight loss, green tea might be a better and more complete option rather than black tea. Green tea enhances metabolism adding in fat burning and contributing to weight loss. Green tea helps and enhances metabolism. Green tea also strengthens the immune system, improves mood and reduces the risk of chronic disease.

Combined with proper diet and exercise both green and black tea are beneficial for weight loss. Both green and black tea come from the same plant; it is just how they are processed. Green tea contains less caffeine than black tea.
