Do you know that there are numerous significant impacts that excessive blue light from laptops and phone screens can have on the health of your eyes? Compared to other hues, blue light has a greater chance of getting into the eye and can cause digital eye strain. Long-term exposure might lead to headaches, dryness, and discomfort. Blue light can also interfere with circadian cycles, which can change how people sleep.

Also, it's a good idea to utilize blue light filters or "night mode" settings on electronics, particularly at night, to lessen these impacts. Not only that, but you can lessen the negative effects of blue screen light on your eyes and increase eye comfort by taking breaks, according to the 20-20-20 rule, and making sure that your surroundings have enough light.

According to Dr. Sanjay, “Some studies have claimed that blue light emitting from digital screens can be harmful for the most critical part of the retina of our eyes, called the macula. Prolonged exposure to blue light may cause degeneration of the macula and also accelerate age-related macular degeneration, which can permanently reduce vision. Therefore, it is suggested that spectacles with a blue light filter be worn while looking at the screen to prevent damage to the retina. However, more studies, especially Indian studies, are needed to confirm these observations.”
