Juvenile arthritis is one of the most common chronic illnesses seen in children, yet it often goes unnoticed until pain, stiffness, or swelling starts interfering with a child’s daily activities. Unlike adult arthritis, juvenile arthritis not only affects the joints but can also impact overall growth, development, and emotional well-being. While medications and therapies remain at the core of treatment, doctors are increasingly highlighting the role of diet in managing symptoms, reducing inflammation, and supporting healthy growth in young patients.
The right nutrition can make a significant difference in easing pain and improving mobility for children living with juvenile arthritis. Foods rich in anti-inflammatory properties, bone-strengthening nutrients, and immunity-boosting vitamins can help manage flare-ups while also aiding growth and development. At the same time, avoiding certain foods that may trigger inflammation is equally important.
