Kargil Vijay Diwas 2024 Speech Ideas: Every nation engages in wars that leave a lasting legacy and are remembered for years afterwards. In the Kargil area of Jammu & Kashmir, India and Pakistan fought an exceptional war in 1999. Rockets, bombs, and shells totalling about two lakh fifty thousand were fired. 300 cannons, mortars, and MBRLs fired about 5,000 artillery shells, mortar bombs, and rockets every day, and on the day Tiger Hill was retaken, 9,000 shells were launched. Such a heroic war was the Kargil War led by our brave superheroes of the Indian Army.

Kargil War, which is also known as ‘Operation Vijay’ is a special day etched in Indian history and every year the nation remembers the remarkable victory and brave soldiers who gave their lives for the country’s protection and pride. Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrates the unwavering resolve of Indian armed forces in protecting India’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
