Korean skincare provides certain rules and regulations that should never be done to the skin. Here is a list of five common mistakes that should be avoided as per K-beauty.
Common Mistakes To Avoid In Korean Skincare
Scrubbing Face Too Hard
In Korean skincare, scrubbing your face too hard or over-exfoliating is a sin. Gentle care is the key to glowing skin. Hard scrubs and cleaning can damage the skin’s natural barrier, leaving it dry, irritated and prone to breakouts. Instead of rough scrubbers, use chemical exfoliants like AHAs and BHAs twice or thrice a week.
Changing Product Often
Although staying updated with the new launches in the skincare world is essential, it can prolong the process of seeing benefits in skin health. It is important to allow some time for the products to set in and work on the skin, especially for specific concerns like acne, hyperpigmentation, and ageing. These issues take time to develop thus, not showing the perfect result. Give time to each product to work on the skin, instead of changing them too often.
Missing Out On Sunscreen
K-beauty experts are sensitive when it comes to sun protection. Be it a sunny day or a rainy one, you must not avoid applying sunscreen with high SPF. Skipping sunscreen leads to premature ageing, hyperpigmentation, and skin weakening. Remember that the SPF in the foundation is not enough to protect the skin from sun damage. At least SPF 30 to SPF 50 should be applied to the skin when outdoors.

Skin essentially regenerates at night and blocking the skin with foundation, concealer will stop the skin from breathing.
Using Hot Water To Wash Face
Even though it feels amazing to take a steamy shower, according to Korean skincare it is not good for the skin. Hot water not only removes the moisture of the skin but leaves the face dry and irritated. K-beauty focuses on hydration of the skin which starts by washing the face with lukewarm water.
