DIY Lip Masks: Who likes chapped, cracked lips? They instantly make you look dull and dehydrated. So if you also want to flaunt that joyous smile of yours, take your lip care into extra consideration. I personally trust these four homemade lip balms over harsh chemical-based products. And the best thing is each of these lip masks is made of kitchen staple ingredients which are available in almost all Indian homes, which makes them all natural budget friendly options.
1. Beetroot And Honey Lip Mask
Peel and grind an inch of beetroot. Take a clean small bowl, mix a tablespoon of honey with blended beetroot. Apply evenly on your lips for a good 10-15 minutes, you can also gently massage it and finally rinse off for rose-tinted and moisturised lips.
2. Coconut Oil And Sugar
This is the most basic yet effective homemade lip balm I use. For this mix, half a tablespoon of coconut oil with half a teaspoon of sugar, and it's ready. Apply to your lips, massage gently and rinse off. This exfoliating lip balm not only helps you get rid of dead skin on your lips but also makes them soft, smooth and plump.

3. Aloe Vera And Coconut Oil Lip Mask
Mix a tablespoon of aloe vera gel with a tablespoon of coconut oil. Apply for 10-15 minutes and rinse off, and voila, your lips will feel more hydrated and soothing.
4. Rice And Turmeric Lip Mask
Mix a pinch of each: turmeric, coffee powder, and milk to form a paste. Then take a rice paper, cut it into a lip shape, and soak it in the paste. And apply this rice-turmeric mask on your lips for at least 10 minutes. Take off the rice paper and clean your lips with clean, damp fingers or a cloth.
Each of these lip mask are easy to DIY (do it yourself) and perfect for self-care days, as a polluted environment can really affect the health of your lips. Additionally, I feel these masks work better for me than expensive lip masks available in stores. They are all natural, easy on the pocket, and give you luscious, plump lips in less than 20 minutes.
