Navratri 2023: The nine-day festive period of Navratri is being celebrated across the country with great enthusiasm and joy. The devotees are immersed in the festivities of the nine auspicious days of Shardiya Navratri. Known as one of the most significant festivals, Shardiya Navratri usually falls in the month of September or October and this year began on October 13 and will culminate with Maha Navami or Durga Puja on October 23.
While numerous rituals are practised to worship Goddess Durga and her nine incarnations during Navratri, fasting on each day remains one of the most important. Fasting for Navratri requires devotees to consume only certain foods and worship the goddess with complete faith and devotion. Continuous nine-day fasting can take a toll on overall health, which is why it is important to consume some healthy drinks that can boost the body with hydration.
