Water is thought to be the most vital fluid for the body since it keeps the body healthy overall. It facilitates the body's absorption of nutrients and aids in food digestion. Not only that, but drinking water also helps with gastrointestinal issues like bloating and constipation and keeps you energised and active all day. However, drinking water just after consuming some foods could impede the process of digestion. Certain meals may cause bloating or cramping in the stomach when consumed with water. Here is a list of foods that you should never drink with water and maintain good health.
Foods To Never Eat With Water
Watermelon
One of the best sources of water is watermelons. It is advisable for those who already have stomach problems to wait at least 40 to 50 minutes before consuming water. Since watermelon is already 96% water, drinking more water after eating could cause digestive problems by diluting the digestive fluids.
Banana
Bananas are another food that should not be combined with water. Water might make you feel really queasy after eating a banana, so you should avoid doing that. Water hinders the digestion of bananas, so always wait around half an hour before consuming water.

Citrus Fruits

Due to their high fibre and vitamin C content, citrus fruits might interfere with the body's ability to absorb nutrients and digestive fluids when consumed with water. When you consume citrus fruits, such as lemons, oranges, or other fruits, your stomach normally releases specific acids to keep the pH level stable. However, drinking water after eating citrus fruits can upset the pH balance, which can lead to bloating, indigestion, and other problems.
Peanuts
Eating peanuts often increases body temperature and boosts metabolism, which helps you get warm before bed. After consuming peanuts, one should abstain from drinking water since it may create stomach problems, particularly in young children.
Milk
Probably our mothers warned us not to drink water right after a warm cup of milk. This is due to the possibility that drinking water right after warm milk can slow down metabolism and increase stomach acidity, which might lead to digestive issues.
