New Delhi | Jagran Lifestyle Desk: April 15 is an important date in history because of many reasons. On this day in 1469, Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikh religion was born. He described religious harmony as paramount and laid the foundation of Sikhism. He was a master of many languages and travelled to various places across the world.
In another important event on this day, a law was approved in France in 2004, which prohibited the use of any kind of religious symbol in schools. This law came into force from 2 September 2004. In this act, the hijab worn by Muslim girls, the turban of Sikh children, and the cross of Christian children were banned.
On this day, India also announced to send its envoy to Beijing for the first time in 15 years.
