Police Commemoration Day 2024: India observes the special occasion of Police Commemoration Day on October 21 to honour the brave police personnels who sacrifice their lives while on their duty. Police Commemoration Day serves as an important reminder of the commitment and dedication of police officers across the country to maintain law and order and provide protection to the citizens.
This day is observed by police and paramilitary forces in every state to pay heartfelt tributes to CRPF brave men who attained martyrdom on October 21, 1959, at the Hot Springs (Ladakh) during an assault by the Chinese army. On this day, ceremonies take place in different states and cities of India to pay tribute to police personnels who sacrificed their precious lives for maintaining law and order.
