President's Day 2024: On the third Monday in February, The United States celebrates President's Day as a federal holiday. The occasion brings a relaxing three-day weekend and huge holiday sales and bargains. It is celebrated because of a bill signed into law in 1968 by President Lyndon B. Johnson. After three years, the Uniform Bill mandated that three holidays including Memorial Week, Presidents Day and Veterans Day occur on Monday to prevent midweek shutdowns.

President’s Day was established in 1879 to celebrate the birthday of the nation's first president, George Washington. This federal holiday was earlier known as ‘Washington's Birthday’. The population of the USA celebrates the occasion to celebrate all previous presidents who have served the country. The day is celebrated with numerous public ceremonies.

President's Day is a federal holiday and of which federal workers have a day off on this day. Similar to Independence Day, this federal holiday is also viewed as a patriotic celebrations.
