President's Day 2024: On the third Monday in February, The United States celebrates President's Day as a federal holiday. The occasion brings a relaxing three-day weekend and huge holiday sales and bargains. It is celebrated because of a bill signed into law in 1968 by President Lyndon B. Johnson. After three years, the Uniform Bill mandated that three holidays including Memorial Week, Presidents Day and Veterans Day occur on Monday to prevent midweek shutdowns.
