In the video, Sadhguru said, “The ladies of the world, I must tell you Ragi is the most female-friendly cereal that you can consume. This millet is fantastic for women, not that it’s not good for men, it is good for everybody. But what I am saying here is that it has special advantages for a woman. It has the highest quantity of calcium and iron among all the cereals. There is such a level of anaemia all over the world, particularly in the female population. There is also a problem of the porosity of bones being high at certain stages in a woman’s life, and ragi can make a tremendous difference for both.”

Benefits Of Ragi For Women

1. High Protein Content

Ragi or finger millet is an ideal cereal that is abundant in protein content. According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), finger millet contains about 5 to 8% protein, 1 to 2% ether extractives, 65 to 75% carbohydrates, 15 to 20% dietary fibre and 2.5 to 3.5% minerals. The high protein content promotes feelings of hunger, and weight loss and prevents hunger.
