Shardiya Navratri 2025 Colours: Shardiya Navratri 2025 is around the corner and is considered one of the most significant festivals in the Hindu calendar. Navratri days are dedicated to worshipping nine forms of Goddess Durga throughout nine days. The festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour across the country to commemorate the victory of good over evil. Shardiya Navratri 2025 starts from September 22 and ends on October 2 with Vijayadashami. During Navratri, Durga Puja is also celebrated in most parts of the country and abroad. During these nine days and nine nights of the festival, devotees worship Maa Durga by performing various puja rituals. During Shardiya Navratri, colours play an important role during these nine days.

Each day of Navratri is celebrated with a specific colour associated with a corresponding form of Goddess Durga and has a symbolic significance. To seek blessings from Maa Durga, devotees wear the colours that go with them and engage in various puja ceremonies. Devotees observe the tradition of dressing up in the day’s colour as a mark of devotion. Here’s the list of Shardiya Navratri colours with dates and their spiritual significance.

Shardiya Navratri 2025 Colours With Dates And Significance

Day 1 (September 22) - White

White is the colour that symbolises innocence, purity and peace. This day is dedicated to Goddess Shailputri and the white colour is associated with her. Wearing white on the first day of Shardiya Navratri is said to provide inner peace and spiritual calm, uniting devotees in harmony with Goddess Durga.

Day 2 (September 23) - Red

Red is the colour of strength, passion and courage. It is the most preferred colour for the 'chunri' offered to the goddess. Wearing red on this day is believed to energise the mind and the body, instilling confidence. On the second day, Goddess Brahmacharini is worshipped and the red colour is associated with her.

Day 3 (September 24) - Royal Blue

On the third day of Navratri, Goddess Chandraghanta is worshipped and she is associated with royal blue. The colour symbolises spirituality, protection and peace.

Day 4 (September 25) - Yellow

Yellow represents cheerfulness, optimism and new beginnings. The colour also brings happiness and positivity. The colour is believed to be dedicated to Goddess Kushmanda, who is worshipped on the fourth day of Navratri.

Day 5 (September 26) - Green

On this day, Goddess Skandamata is worshipped and green colour is considered to be her favourite. The green colour represents growth and harmony. It serves as a reminder of tranquillity and helps in spiritual development, thus a perfect hue for those who want to achieve balance and healing during the festival.

Day 6 (September 27) - Grey

Grey also symbolises knowledge, peace of mind and calmness. Wearing this colour on the sixth day while worshipping Goddess Katyayani helps stabilise emotions and balance thinking. Moreover, grey coloured clothes are also offered to the deity to seek her blessings.

Day 7 (September 28) - Orange

On the seventh day of Navratri, Maa Kalratri is worshipped and the colour orange is dedicated to her. Orange symbolises strength, enthusiasm and positivity. The colour also brings warmth and energy.

Day 8 (September 29) - Peacock Green

Peacock green is the colour of the eighth day of Navratri. The colour signifies growth and prosperity. The bright shade of blue and green inspires creativity. Maa Mahagauri is worshipped on this day and the colour is her favourite.

Day 9 (September 30) - Pink

Pink symbolises love, compassion and divine feminine energy. Worshipping Goddess Siddhidatri, the pink colour is dedicated to her on the ninth day of Navratri. Wearing pink evokes tenderness, caring and nurturing, connecting devotees with the softer and benevolent side of the deity.
