According to Dr Gupta, the calming effects and antioxidants of green tea can soothe and protect sensitive and acne-prone skin.
3. Avocado
Avocado is a nutritional powerhouse and includes vital nutrients that not only promote better health but also keep skincare problems at bay. They are induced with skin-boosting properties that can be effective to treat dry skin, eczema, psoriasis and other skin conditions. Dr Gupta states that avocado is hydrating and nourishing and is perfect for dry skin, leaving it supple and radiant.
4. Yoghurt
Yoghurt is high in protein, vitamins, calcium, and probiotics that can provide immense health benefits. Eating yoghurt is extremely beneficial for health, but applying it over your face can have an abundance of benefits for your skin. Dr Gupta shares that yoghurt is rich in probiotics and gently exfoliates and brightens the skin, catering to combination and acne-prone skin.
5. Cucumber
The high water content of cucumber makes it a hydrating addition to DIY skin treatments as well as being generally safe for sensitive skin due to its lack of harsh, potentially irritating ingredients. The high water content of cucumber soothes the skin and keeps it hydrated and well-nourished. Dr Gupta says that cucumber soothes, hydrates, and cools the skin, making it a treat for all skin types, especially in hot weather.
