Sun Protection In Korean Skincare: The majority of us are mesmerised by the Koreans' dedication to sun protection. It's a crucial step in their skincare routine, and for good reason. UV rays can wreak havoc on our skin, causing premature ageing, dark spots, and even skin cancer. Koreans know that preventing sun damage is key to maintaining healthy, radiant skin.
So, how do they do it? For starters, sunscreens are a staple in every Korean's skincare arsenal. Dr Ajay Rana, internationally renowned Dermatologist, Surgeon & Aesthetic Physician explained that they opt for broad-spectrum sunscreens with high SPF and apply them daily - even on cloudy days. But that's not all. Many Korean moisturisers also contain SPF, providing an extra layer of protection.

Koreans also take sun protection beyond skincare products. They wear clothing with built-in UPF protection, such as hats and scarves, and use parasols and umbrellas to shield their skin from the sun. And, they're not afraid to reapply sunscreen throughout the day - especially after swimming or sweating.
What's more, Korean sunscreens often feature innovative ingredients like snail mucin and ginseng, which not only protect but also nourish the skin. It's a testament to the Koreans' commitment to sun protection and skincare innovation.
