1. Rice
Rice is one of the most preferred foods to include in an ideal weight-gain diet. Rice can help in gaining significant weight when consumed with a nutritious diet. Several studies state that rice is fairly calorie-dense, which can help in the intake of high calories and carbs from a single serving.
2. Nuts And Nut Butter
Nuts are incredibly nutritious foods that can be added to an ideal healthy diet. Nuts such as almonds, pistachios, walnuts and others are known to boost weight in individuals. Studies suggest that nuts are high-fa, energy-dense foods that can promote weight gain.
3. Complex Carbohydrates
Complex carbohydrates are made up of three components including fibre, starch and sugar. Grains, beans, potatoes, and some other vegetables are known as complex carbohydrates and can help in gaining weight.
How To Gain Healthy Weight
According to WebMD, your body mass index (BMI) is a measure of your body fat. It uses your weight, height, and age to give you a healthy range. In general, if your BMI is less than 18.5, you’re underweight. For gaining healthy weight, swap out the foods you already eat for higher-calorie versions, make your own salad dressing with healthy oils, rather than buying them ready-made, make sure that your cereal has at least 200 calories per cup and eat desserts that have a lot of nutrients, like frozen yoghurt, oatmeal cookies, zucchini bread, and pumpkin pie.
