Do’s For Weight Loss
1. Do Eat As Per Your Appetite
Dr Diwekar suggests that one should be aware of their appetite and consume foods accordingly. Eating more or less than your ability to consume can directly hamper one’s health and increase the risk of several illnesses.
2. Do Make Time To Exercise
Exercise plays a crucial role when it comes to shedding those extra kilos. When losing weight, practising physical exercises can significantly increase the number of calories the body uses for energy. Using calories through physical activity, combined with reducing the calories you eat, creates a calorie deficit that results in weight loss.
3. Do Make It A Point To Sleep On Time
Another major factor that can contribute to weight gain is inadequate sleep. Poor sleep usually leads to increased oxidative stress, blood sugar levels and insulin resistance. Extra time spent awake may increase the opportunities to eat, and sleeping less may disrupt circadian rhythms, leading to weight gain.
4. Do Keep Sustainability In Mind With Every Choice
While losing weight, one should never forget other daily habits. Pair your weight loss journey with healthy lifestyle patterns such as regular physical activity, healthy eating patterns and stress management.

Don’t Make It Your Only Project: Weight loss can be an objective but not the only objective your life should revolve around. One should not get disheartened if they are taking longer to shed those extra kilos, as weight loss is just a perspective, not your life. Also, don’t see adaptation time as failure (12 weeks for a response to sustained stimuli). Never make exercise a punishment and make eating food a crime. Cheat meals are important and not any crime. Also, be easy on yourself and do not track every step, calorie, or kilo.
