Side Effects Of Banana And Milk: Milk and bananas are regarded as nutritious foods that provide a number of health advantages. Milk is an excellent source of calcium, protein and other important nutrients and bananas are a wonderful source of vitamins, potassium and fibre. Because of their complementing flavours, these two superfoods are commonly used in smoothies, desserts and other recipes. However, traditional practices like Ayurveda suggest that eating bananas with milk might not be the ideal option for everyone.
Despite how common this combination is, eating bananas and milk together might cause stomach problems and other health problems for certain people. This is mostly because of how these foods work together in the digestive tract and how the nutrients in them might occasionally cause digestive problems. Let’s understand how the combination of milk and banana can harm your health.
Reasons To Not Eat Banana And Milk Together
Digestive Problems
Bananas are high in soluble fibre which can help with digestion but can be difficult to process when combined with lactose-containing milk. The presence of lactose can result in pain, gas and bloating for those who are lactose intolerant.
Mucus Production
Milk and other dairy products are believed to stimulate mucus secretion and bananas are a heavy fruit. They may intensify this effect when added to milk. This combination may exacerbate symptoms for people with respiratory disorders like asthma, colds or sinus congestion.
