Foods To Avoid On Empty Stomach

1. Citrus Fruits

Citrus fruits such as oranges, limes, lemons and others are a great source of citric acid. But when consumed on an empty stomach, this citric acid can escalate the acid production in the stomach. This excessive acid production can lead to stomach problems such as acid burn, bloating, and constipation, further causing extreme discomfort throughout the day.

Yoghurt is a healthy dairy product and is known for its high probiotic content. The high probiotic content can have a significant impact on our teeth and body as a whole. When you consume yoghurt on an empty stomach, the stomach acids kill the good bacteria, and can further lead to acidity and constipation.

3. Sugary Coffee Drinks

One must avoid consuming caffeinated or sugary drinks in the early hours of the day. These drinks have ample amounts of cougar and caffeine that can cause a spike in our blood sugar levels. 4. Fruit Juices

Health experts suggest consuming raw fruits rather than drinking their juices as when the juices are extracted from fruits, more than half of the nutrients get washed out in the process. 5. Spicy Foods
