Diabetes is a chronic disease that occurs either when the pancreas does not produce enough insulin or when the body cannot effectively use the produced insulin. It is a major cause of blindness, kidney failure, heart attacks and strokes. 2. Reclining Bound Angle Pose
Popularly known as Suota Baddha Konasana, this is a restorative pose that helps in calming the nervous system. According to Healthline, it can help in reducing stress, which can further lower the blood pressure and blood sugar levels in the body.
3. Seated Forward Bend
It is a symmetrical yoga pose that helps in stretching your entire body. Also known as Paschimottanasana, this yoga asana is also referred to as a therapeutic forward bend. It helps in relieving anxiety, headache, and fatigue.
4. Supported Shoulderstand
The Salamba Sarvangasana is known to promote blood circulation and calm the nerves. According to Healthline, this inversion may help improve circulation and stimulate the thyroid gland. It can also help calm the mind and relieve stress. It also revitalises the thyroid glands.
5. Plow Pose
Also known as Halasana, the plow pose is an inverted yoga asana that helps in stretching, strengthening and relaxing the body. It is effective in stimulating the thyroid glands, increasing blood circulation, and reducing stress. Moreover, this yoga pose also helps in reducing belly fat and promotes better secretion of insulin.
