Toyota Hilux Safety: The 2025 Toyota Hilux recently scored a 5-star safety rating in the Australasian NCAP (ANCAP). The Hilux is a very rugged pickup truck, and it is renowned globally for its reliability and off-road performance. Toyota Hilux Safety: Adult Safety
The Toyota Hilux scored a total of 33.96 points out of a maximum of 40 in Adult Occupant Safety (AOS). The Adult Occupant Safety test by ANCAP includes tests such as frontal offset, rescue and extractions, full-width frontal, whiplash protection, oblique pole, side impact, and far side impact.

Toyota Hilux Safety: Child Safety
The Toyota Hilux scored 89 per cent in terms of Child Occupant Protection in the crash test organised by the ANCAP. The pickup truck by Hilux scored a total of 44 points out of a total of 49 points. Under the child occupant protection, the pickup truck was tested for various factors, such as dynamic side and front impact performance, restraint installation, and on-board child safety factors.

Toyota Hilux Safety: Road User Protection
The Toyota Hilux also received an 82 per cent score in terms of road user protection. The Toyota Hilux has scored a total of 52.16 points out of a total of 63 points in this category. The tests under this category check the vehicle’s protection against leg, head, and pelvis of pedestrians and cyclists. The category also involves the test for checking the truck’s autonomous emergency braking.
