The HR88B8888 number plate was auctioned for Rs 1.17 crore in an auction organised by the state government, and at that time, it was assumed to have become India’s most expensive number plate. However, the winner of the bidding failed to make the payment, and the number plate was placed under the hammer once again.

The HR88B8888 has a unique alphanumeric placement, and it looks like a continuous run of the number 8, which is considered very auspicious by numerology experts and believers. The number plate was part of an auction organised by the state government, and it crossed the 80-lakh bidding mark by the afternoon. At the conclusion of the auction, a person named Sudhir Kumar won the auction by placing a bid of Rs 1.17 crore. However, the person later apologised by sharing a video and said that he will not be able make the payment. As per the rules of the auction, the number plate was then again placed on the charts for auction.

HR88B8888: Finally Sold For Rs…
The HR88B8888 number plate belongs to the Charkhi-Dadri RTO series, and now it has been sold for Rs 37.51 lakh to a person named Sandip Chahal. Sandip is a resident of Sun City, Kaithal, Haryana, and he placed the bid in the name of his wife, Sushma, for the VIP vehicle number plate. Sandeep is a mobile wholesaler, and he had placed the bid in his own name, along with his wife’s name, to get the HR88B8888 number plate. Sandeep considers the number ‘8’ for himself, and he already owns two cars and four two-wheelers, with the number plate having the last four digits 8888.
