Mahindra Price Hike:  Mahindra and Mahindra has announced a price hike of up to 2.7 per cent across its entire SUV portfolio sold in India. The price hike will come into effect from tomorrow onwards, and while the brand’s SUVs are set to become dearer, the commercial vehicles offered by the brand will also cost more due to the recently announced price hike. The exact amount of the price hike will vary depending on the model and variant.

Mahindra Price Hike: The Reason

The brand has attributed the recently announced price hike to the escalation in commodity costs. Escalated commodity cost refers to the increase in prices paid by the manufacturer for materials used during the manufacturing of a vehicle. When the prices of materials increase over time, manufacturers increase the price of the vehicle to absorb the additional cost.
