MG Majestor Launch:  The MG Majestor is set to launch in India on April 20, 2026. Ahead of its official launch, the MG Majestor has set a Guinness World Record of pulling the heaviest train on track by an SUV. Notably, the Land Rover Discovery, worth Rs 1.40 crore (ex-showroom), had also pulled a train in Switzerland in 2016. The MG Majestor has left behind the Land Rover Discovery and set a new world record, too. Let’s take a look at the features and specs of the upcoming MG Majestor.

MG Majestor Vs Land Rover Discovery

As mentioned earlier, the brand has left the Land Rover Discovery behind by pulling the 406.4-tonne train. In 2016, the Land Rover Discovery pulled a 108-tonne train in Switzerland, and left enthusiasts in awe. In a similar incident, the Discovery pulled a 110-tonne train in Australia in 2017. However, the Majestor pulled a train with a weight of more than 406-tonne and left behind the Land Rover Discovery. It is also worth mentioning that the Majestor has pulled the train for a distance of 300 feet, whereas the Land Rover Discovery had pulled the train for a distance of around 10 kilometres.

MG Majestor SUV: Interior & Features

The newly-launched MG Majestor SUV gets Smoke Ebony-theme Interiors with leatherette upholstery. The seats also get ventilation and multi-mode massage functionality with padded leather for enhanced comfort. The list of features on the Majestor also includes a panoramic sunroof, JBL Studio 12-speaker audio system, a digital Bluetooth Key, dual-wireless charger, 64-colour ambient lighting, and a 12-way powered driver’s seat with memory functions.
It also features a three-zone climate control system, Intelligent Headlamp control, and a gesture-controlled electric tailgate with 343 litres of boot space. The boot space can be increased to up to 1350 litres with the third row folded.

MG Majestor SUV: Engine Specs

The MG Majestor SUV will also come equipped with several advanced features that will help it in off-road terrain. It gets an advanced 4x4 system with 10 different modes. The SUV can select the 2h/auto4h/auto4L modes automatically, and it also gets dedicated driving modes, such as city/sand/rock/mud/snow. The Majestor also gets a Triple Differential lock and M-crawl mode, which is a low-speed off-road assist system. It has a water wading capacity of 810mm, and it draws power from a 2-litre twin-turbocharged diesel engine that can generate peak power of up to 215PS.
