New MG Hector: The new MG Hector has been launched in India with prices starting from Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for select units. The brand has equipped the new MG Hector with several changes in terms of design and features. The Hector was introduced in India in 2019, and it has remained a popular SUV ever since. Let’s take a look at the design, features, and powertrain of the newly launched MG Hector.
New MG Hector Design
The all-new MG Hector has received minor changes in terms of design. The overall silhouette of the SUV remains the same as the outgoing model. The front fascia also largely remains the same as the outgoing model. However, it gets a new Aura hex grille with chrome finish and a redesigned bumper with chrome garnish. On the sides, a new set of alloy wheels can be seen, and the rest of the elements remain the same as the outgoing model. On the rear, the new MG Hector gets a new Aura sculpt bumper. The rear section of the SUV also remains the same as the outgoing model. The MG Hector will also be offered in a new Celadine Blue shade.

New MG Hector Features
The new MG Hector has also received minimal changes in terms of interior. The new Hector features a dual-tone cabin with an ice grey shade in the 5-seater variant, dual-tone purple-tan shades in Hector Plus trims. The new Hector also gets Hydra gloss finish accents and Infinity speakers by Harman inside the cabin. It also comes with ventilated seats, rear AC vents, and an electrically powered tailgate. The new Hector now also features touch gesture control, and the touchscreen comes with a faster touch response and operation, thanks to the new RAM boost technology. It also gets a 360-degree camera with a wheel view, i-smart with more than 100 voice commands, a wireless charger, a digital Bluetooth key, walk away auto car lock, and unlock, and more.
New MG Hector Powertrain
While the MG Hector has received some changes in the form of design and interior, it is completely unchanged in terms of powertrain. The new MG Hector retains the multiple powertrain options offered with the outgoing model. The outgoing model of the Hector comes equipped with a choice of either a 1.5-litre turbo petrol or a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine. The Hector is also available with a 48V mild hybrid technology, and the transmission options include a manual transmission as well as a CVT transmission. The diesel is solely available with the 6-speed manual transmission.
