3DEXPERIENCE World 2026 Highlights: For decades, India was largely seen by Dassault Systèmes, a French 3D Software company, as a dependable talent pool, a base for engineering, R&D, and software excellence that supported its global operations. That perception is now undergoing a fundamental shift. India is no longer just where innovation is executed; it is increasingly where growth is envisioned.
Speaking at the 3D Experience WORLD 2026 event in Houston, Pascal Daloz, CEO, Dassault Systemes outlined the company’s sharpened focus on India as a strategic investment destination, anchored by its expanding partnership with Mahindra Group. The collaboration goes beyond a conventional customer–vendor relationship. It reflects Dassault Systèmes’ intent to embed itself deeper into India’s manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, and sustainability ecosystems through its 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

As the Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra forays into electric mobility, scaling globally and transitioning towards digital-first, sustainable manufacturing, Dassault sees a long runway for growth. India’s domestic market size, rising consumption, and accelerating industrial digitization together present a rare opportunity, one that can meaningfully contribute to the company’s ambition of achieving billion-dollar revenue from India by 2030.

Equally important is the evolving geopolitical and trade context. The proposed India–Europe Free Trade Agreement (FTA) could act as a major catalyst for companies like Dassault Systèmes. Reduced trade barriers, improved regulatory alignment, and stronger cross-border collaboration would make India an even more attractive base for European technology firms seeking long-term growth outside mature markets.

For Dassault Systèmes, this convergence of factors, strong local partners like Mahindra, policy tailwinds through the India–Europe FTA, and India’s push towards advanced manufacturing and sustainability, marks a decisive pivot. The company is no longer content with India being a backend support hub. Instead, it is positioning the country as a core growth engine and innovation partner in its global strategy.
What began as a talent-led relationship is now evolving into a capital, capability, and market-led commitment, said Daloz, signalling Dassault Systèmes’ confidence in India as a cornerstone of its future growth story.
