Yamaha XSR155 Launch: Yamaha has launched the much-awaited XSR 155 neo-retro roadster at Rs 1.50 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom) in India. The new Yamaha XSR 155 shares its underpinnings with the R15 Version 4 and the MT-15, both of which are currently on sale in the country. Having said that, the XSR 155 stands out from the other 155cc stablemates with its neo-retro design, which incorporates features such as a round LED headlamp, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank (with Yamaha lettering), and a single-piece seat. Unlike the R15, the XSR 155 gets a traditional LCD instrument cluster. 

Yamaha XSR 155: Engine, Gearbox

While it has its own visual identity, the XSR 155 features the same 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that also powers the R15 and the MT-15. The engine is tuned to develop the same power and torque figures, 18bhp at 10,000rpm and 14.2Nm at 7,500rpm. The 6-speed gearbox is accompanied by an assist-and-slipper clutch. 

Yamaha XSR 155: Underpinnings, Safety Suite

The XSR 155 also utilises the same Deltabox frame, aluminium swingarm, upside-down front forks, and a linked-type rear monoshock. The bike comes fitted with disc brakes mounted on 17-inch wheels. Safety features, like traction control and dual-channel ABS, are standard.

Yamaha XSR 155: Gets 2 Accessory Packs

Along with four colourways (Metallic Grey, Vivid Red, Greyish Green Metallic and Metallic Blue), Yamaha also offers two accessory packs (Scrambler and Cafe Racer). The Scrambler pack lends the bike a taller stance and an off-road vibe, while the Cafe Racer pack adds sportier touches.
