Farmers in Bhojpur district who have not yet completed their Farmer Registry must take note. Special camps will be organised from February 2 to February 6, where farmers are required to create their Farmer Registry IDs and complete their registration. Failure to do so may result in being deprived of government benefits, including the Kisan Credit Card (KCC), in the future.

Awareness Campaign Launched

To ensure maximum outreach and participation, the District Magistrate flagged off an awareness chariot from the Collectorate premises on Monday. These promotional vehicles will travel across all blocks of the district to spread information about the Farmer Registry camps being held from February 2 to February 6.

The primary goal of these camps is to encourage as many farmers as possible to register. DM Tanay Sultania explained that the registration is currently being conducted via e-KYC for land-owning farmers who have their own Jamabandi, as well as for beneficiaries of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

Inter-Departmental Coordination And Support

The registration process is being executed through the mutual coordination of the Revenue and Agriculture Departments. Additionally, the participation of Vasudha Kendras has been ensured at these camps to provide free registration services to the farmers.

Warning Of Loss Of Benefits

The DM clarified that farmers who fail to complete the registry will be ineligible for future benefits under the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme and other agricultural initiatives. He issued a strong appeal to all farmers in the district to visit their nearest camps on the scheduled dates to ensure mandatory registration, warning that they could also lose their benefits under the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

The launch event was attended by several high-ranking officials, including DDC Gunjan Singh, ADM Dr Shashi Shekhar, the District Agriculture Officer, the Deputy Project Director of ATMA, the Special Executive Officer, the Director of the Rural Development Department, the District Statistics Officer and the Assistant Director (Chemicals).
