Bihar Election Result 2025 Live Updates: After a bumper turnout in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, the results will be announced today, which will clarify who will form the government in Bihar. Vote counting is underway. Trends indicate a majority for the NDA as the alliance leads on 205 seats. There are a total of 243 assembly seats in Bihar, and a party or alliance must have 122 seats to form a government. Mahagathbandhan showcased a dismal performance with a lead on just 32 seats.
The first phase of the Bihar polls was conducted on November 6, while the second phase was held on November 11. Voter participation in the Bihar Assembly Election 2025 reached an all-time high, with a combined 66.91 per cent turnout across both phases. The first phase saw 64.66 per cent of voters cast their ballot. This figure was surpassed in the second phase, which recorded a massive 68.52 per cent turnout.
In the high-stakes Bihar election, various exit polls predicted return of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The NDA consists of BJP, JD(U) and LJP (Ram Vilas) acting as the major alliance partners, while the Opposition INDIA bloc is formed of RJD, the Congress and the Left parties as the main constituents. While the NDA has projected Nitish Kumar as its chief ministerial face, the INDIA bloc has fielded RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav as its CM candidate.
