Bihar Election 2025 Voting Phase 1 Live Updates: The voting for phase 1 of the Bihar Legislative Assembly election concluded on Thursday, with a provisional turnout of 60.25 per cent. However, the final numbers are awaited.

According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), the highest turnout of 73.29 per cent was recorded in the Minapur assembly constituency, while the lowest turnout of 39.52 per cent was seen in the Kumhrar seat.

In a written statement, Kumar said, "No one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands. Strict action will be taken against the miscreants. The DGP of Bihar should take immediate action."

Bihar Election 2025 Voting Phase 1 Live Updates: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, who was attacked by a group of people and hurled slippers in the Lakhisarai constituency, said, "NDA satta mein aa rahi hai...inke chhati pe bulldozer chalega" (NDA is returning to power and the bulldozer will run over their chest).

RJD raised several questions for the Election Commission.

1. The Vaishali district administration has raised questions about the planned closure of vehicles traveling to Raghopur via the 6-lane bridge and the suspension of boat services from Kachi Dargah. A video has also been shared in this post.

2. At booth numbers 106, 107, 108 of Mohiuddinnagar assembly constituency, policemen are entering various houses and brutally beating and threatening voters without any valid reason.

3. RJD has also accused BJP of hooliganism. In its post, the party has said that an RJD worker was attacked with a knife at Maricha Chowk, Sarai.

4. Questions have been raised about the voter's vote being cast before he could reach the booth number 147 of Sahebganj-98 assembly, district- Muzaffarpur. A video has also been shared in this post.

5. Information is being received from many booths in various assembly constituencies of Bihar that the administration is deliberately slowing down the voting at booths having voters supporting RJD and Grand Alliance.

"The villagers are demonstrating their culture. There are RJD-Congress goons," Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha told news agency ANI. Deputy CM's car was surrounded by RJD supporters and stones were pelted as he arrived here at the village.

"In the Danapur assembly constituency, the administration has stopped the operation of boats, and thousands of voters are unable to reach their polling booths to cast their votes! Over 10,000 voters have been left reliant on a single steamer that makes only one round per day! In such a situation, if any accident occurs, will the district administration take responsibility?" posted RJD in Hindi on X.

RJD supporters surrounded Deputy CM and BJP candidate from Lakhisarai constituency, Vijay Kumar Sinha's car, hurled slippers, pelted stones and cow dung and chanted "Murdabad", as he visited Khoriari village in his constituency. The Deputy CM spoke to SP on the phone following the incident.

Jan Shakti Janata Dal national president and candidate from Mahua assembly constituency, Tej Pratap Yadav, visited various polling booths in the constituency as voting is underway in phase 1 of Bihar Election 2025. "I am fully confident. I have the blessings of my parents and the public," he told ANI.

As of 1 pm, 32.31 percent voting has taken place in Bihar. Gopalganj and Lakhisarai recorded the highest voter turnout, while Darbhanga and Patna recorded the lowest.

RJD supporters surrounded Bihar Deputy CM and BJP candidate from Lakhisarai constituency, Vijay Kumar Sinha's car, hurling slippers and chanting "Murdabad", forbidding him from going ahead. Police personnel present on the spot in Lakhisarai.

At booth numbers 41, 42, 43, and 44 in Jaitpur village of the Manjhi assembly constituency in Saran district, some people assaulted CPM candidate Dr Satyendra Yadav and damaged his car. Upon receiving information, the DSP and other police personnel arrived at the scene. The police are investigating the matter. Saran's police chief, Dr Kumar Ashish, also arrived at the scene. The process of registering an FIR in this matter is underway at the Daudpur police station.

The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Bihar on Thursday dismissed the Rashtriya Janata Dal's (RJD) allegations of deliberate power cuts at certain polling stations during the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections, terming the claims "completely baseless and misleading."

Bihar recorded 42.31 per cent voter turnout till 1 pm as polling is underway for Assembly Election 2025, as per ECI.

Displaying high enthusiasm, voters in the Kusheshwar Asthan Assembly constituency of Darbhanga travelled to their polling stations by boat.

Eight people have been arrested in Bihar's Buxar so far for creating disturbances and ruckus during phase 1 polling. These arrests were made in Ahirauli, Nadav, Mishrawalia, and Mahadah, jagran.com reported.

Rashtriya Lok Morcha chief Upendra Kushwaha says, "People are voting for NDA in numbers more than our expectations. Going by the reports that we have been receiving from across Bihar, NDA is going to register a thumping majority in Bihar...It is essential for him (Tejashwi Yadav) to say that (that Mahagtahbandhan will win) right now because this is the first phase of elections, second phase is yet to be held. If he expresses disappointment from now itself, his workers will be demoralised. To boost the morale of his workers he has to say that but the trends across Bihar are clear, it is in favour of NDA..."

Former Bihar Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Rabri Devi on Thursday said that while PM Modi makes statements on 'katta' (guns), those from his party "fire bullets". 

"Narendra Modi ji makes statements on 'katta' (guns) but it is the people of his party who fire bullets, they abduct, fire bullets and kill people. Modi ji doesn't remember all that," Rabri Devi told reporters after casting her vote in Patna.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and BJP candidate from Lakhisarai constituency, Vijay Kumar Sinha, told ANI that RJD workers made efforts to threaten a polling agent at booths in Halsi block during the first phase of voting of Bihar Assembly Election 2025.  He said while polling was largely peaceful, some RJD members still had a "booth-capturing mindset."

He added that the Election Commission was informed about the incident and action will be taken in the matter. 

Addressing a public rally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the NDA government is working with full efficiency and sincerity to identify infiltrators and expel them from the country, but the Congress and RJD are busy protecting them. To protect the infiltrators, they (Congress and RJD) tell all kinds of lies and organise political tours.

Union Minister and LJP(RV) Chief Chirag Paswan expressed confidence in Mahagathbandhan's defeat in the Bihar Assembly Election 2025. 

"I have fulfilled my responsibility by casting my vote and I would like every person to do the same to elect a government of their choice," Chirag Paswan told reporters after casting his vote.

"If Mahagathbandhan had put as much effort into connecting with the public as they did into finding excuses, then they would not have needed these excuses. Mahagathbandhan is losing the election. They make an issue of SIR, Rahul ji keeps holding press conferences every day, if so much wrong is happening, then why don't they go to the court," he added.

Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar says, "This is the festival of democracy. Voting in the first phase of election is being done across several districts. I appeal to all the people of Bihar to vote for their issues, for the future of their children, for jobs, food, house, education, health, roads, electricity, water and for their self-respect. The resentment against government needs to be shown a positive direction."

CEC Gyanesh Kumar received a surprise call today from Mosotho Moepya, the chairperson of South Africa's Electoral Commission, for giving him best wishes for the Bihar elections comprising nearly 75 million voters. PM Modi took pot shots at the Opposition for the 'jungle raj era' from from 1990 to 2005.

"The report card of development that took place in Bihar during the Jungle Raj era is zero. From 1990 to 2005, for 15 years, this Jungle Raj destroyed Bihar.  In the name of running the government back then, you were simply looted. That is why I say, remember the figure zero. The number of expressways, flyovers built in the 15 years of Jungle Raj in Bihar is zero," Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in Araria. 

PM Modi congratulated the citizens for showcasing "unprecedented enthusiasm" during the first phase voting of Bihar Assembly Election 2025.

"Today, the first phase of voting is taking place to develop Bihar. Stunning pictures are coming from different corners of Bihar on social media. Long lines have been forming at polling stations since the morning.  Mothers, sisters, and daughters are coming out in large numbers to vote. There is unprecedented enthusiasm among the youth of Bihar as well. I congratulate all the voters. I appeal to the people to come out and cast their votes," said Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressing a gathering in Araria.

"I can see that since morning, a large number of people have been stepping out of their houses and voting. In the next few hours, this will spike...Voters are giving their blessings, and I can feel victory from now on. We will definitely win. We have worked a lot for women...I have worked hard and it is my exam today...I am overwhelmed with all the blessings that I have been receiving," Singer and BJP candidate from Alinagar seat, Maithili Thakur told ANI.

Maithili Thakur is the youngest candidate and could potentially become the youngest MLA if elected. Her constituency, Alinagar, will voting in the first phase of the elections on November 6. Earlier, the singer-turned-politician highlighted that the people of Bihar are aware of the work done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Bihar Assembly Election 2025 recorded a voter turnout of 27.65 per cent till 11 am on Thursday. Voting is currently underway in the first phase. Second phase polling will take place on November 11. The results will be announced by the ECI on November 14. 

"Public is voting with great enthusiasm. They will continue to do so...He (Tejashwi Yadav) just for the sake of it. There is no chance of him becoming the CM. Bihar's result will be historic and decisive." On Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi's allegations of vote theft, he says, "It turned out to be a flop...All his claims turned out to be false. He is an expert in lying," BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad told news agency ANI.

Tejashwi Yadav, who is aiming at a hat-trick from the Raghopur assembly constituency, earlier reminded the people after filing of nomination papers that “this is not a run-of-the-mill election. It is an opportunity to transform Bihar by voting for change”.

Bhojpuri cinema star Khesari Lal Yadav reached the Rasulpur Government Basic School booth in Ekma assembly constituency of Saran district to cast his vote. Khesari Lal Yadav is contesting the election as RJD candidate from Chapra assembly seat of Saran district.

Voting took place for the first time after 20 years in the Naxal-affected area of Bhim Bandh in Bihar. 

"We are feeling very good. I am very happy that all of you came here... I am feeling very good (to have voted here for the first time in 20 years)... Earlier, the situation was not favourable since 2005... Now, there is no fear. We have been living peacefully ever since the camp (security forces) was set up here. The government facilities are very good here. We have also been given free rations for a few years now, and we are grateful for that. We have no problems anymore. We are living peacefully in the jungle. We are happy that a polling booth has been set up here. Young and old, everyone is able to cast their vote," A local villager told the reporters. 

A local villager, Neelam Kumari said, "I am feeling very good. Earlier, we had to cross the entire jungle and reach Gaay Ghat. Now it is nearby, it is convenient. The arrangements are good. We used to have difficulty reaching there... The situation has improved a lot. I want to thank the Election Commission..."

Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar monitored the voting taking place in the first phase of Bihar Election 2025 on Thursday. The Election Commission is keeping a close watch on every polling booth. 

A voter turnout of 13.13 per cent was recorded till 9 am in the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections, according to the Election Commission of India. The highest voter turnout of 15.27 per cent was recorded in the Saharsa district of the state among all districts, while Lakhisarai recorded a sluggish turnout of 7 per cent.

The first phase of Bihar Election 2025 will decide the fate of several senior leaders, including RJD's Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, BJP leaders Samrat Choudhary and Mangal Pandey and JD(U)'s Shravan Kumar and Vijay Kumar Choudhary. Tej Pratap Yadav is also in the fray in the first phase.

The 2020 polling took place in three phases. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) secured 125 seats, while the opposition Mahagathbandhan (MGB) won 110. Among the major parties, the Janata Dal (United) bagged 43 seats, the BJP bagged 74, the RJD secured 75 seats and the Congress 19. The JD(U) contested 115 constituencies, and the BJP 110, whereas the RJD contested 144 seats and the Congress 70.

A young man arrived on a buffalo to vote in the first phase of polling of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. As of 9 am, a voter turnout of 14.60 per cent was recorded in Begusarai district, followed by 13.11 per cent in Bhojpur, 13.28 per cent in Buxar, 12.48 per cent in Darbhanga, 13.97 per cent in Gopalganj, 14.15 per cent in Khagaria, 13.74 per cent in Madhepura, 13.37 per cent in Munger, 14.38 per cent in Muzaffarpur, 12.45 per cent in Nalanda, 11.22 per cent in Patna, 12.86 per cent in Samastipur, 13.30 per cent in Saran, 12.97 per cent in Sheikhpura, 13.35 per cent in Siwan and 14.30 per cent in Vaishali.

Amid polling in the first phase, two women alleged they were not allowed to cast their votes at Veterinary College Ground polling booth in Patna.

"The BLO didn’t give me my voter slip, and now they’re saying it’s my fault. They told me to download it digitally, but here they’re insisting it has to be shown in person. I wasn’t provided the slip today, I don’t even know why. Now it’s getting late, so I’m leaving. I came here to vote, but this kind of chaos happens every time in Bihar," Shreya told news agency PTI.

JD(U) national working president Sanjay Kumar Jha says," I think women voters are coming out in large numbers because they have faith in NDA and Nitish Kumar."

Days before the voting for the Bihar Assembly elections, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday released a video message to the voters highlighting his government's achievements in the past 20 years and seeking 'one more chance'. In the video message, Nitish said that he always worked hard for the people of Bihar with utmost honesty. Seeking one more term for the NDA government, the CM pitched, "Give us one more chance. We will develop Bihar in such a way that it will be included among the top states. Therefore, please reach your polling booth in maximum numbers and cast your vote

Voting began 1 hour 10 minutes late at booth number 331 in Saraiya, Muzaffarpur as the EVM malfunctioned and the entire set was replaced. Panicking over the situation, PO Shashi Shekhar fainted and was rushed to the hospital.

Women performed Jhijhiya, the folk dance of Mithila, near a polling booth in Patna, as part of an initiative to create awareness regarding voting. Polling is currently underway for 121 constituencies across 18 districts in Bihar. The results will be declared on November 14.

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar shows his inked finger after casting his vote in Bakhtiyarpur, Patna, in the first phase of Bihar Election 2025. Nitish Kumar, also known as Sushasan Babu, is credited with reestablishing law and order, building infrastructure, and enhancing education in the state.

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Thursday said "vote and inspire others to vote as well" as polling in underway for phase of elections.

He posted on X, "In democracy, voting is not only our right but also our duty. After casting his vote, actor-singer and BJP leader Pawan Singh says, "I voted for development. I urge the people of Bihar to step out of your house and vote for development."

Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh had surprised his fans by announcing that he would not contest the Bihar elections. There was a speculation that Singh, a native of Ara in Bhojpur district, would enter the poll fray on the BJP ticket.

VIP chief and Mahagathbandhan's Deputy CM face Mukesh Sahani, along with his family, cast his vote in the first phase of Bihar Election 2025 in Darbhanga.

VIP founder and the Grand Alliance's Deputy Chief Ministerial candidate for Bihar, Mukesh Sahani, said that the people are the masters of democracy and have the right to elect the Chief Minister of the state and the Prime Minister of the country. "Use your vote wisely. You should see who has fulfilled the promises in the past, so everyone should use their vote honestly. Once our government is formed, we will fulfill all our pledges, such as 200 units of free electricity, giving a year's salary to mothers and sisters in one go on January 14, employment for every household, and pension for the elderly," he said.

BJP candidate from Danapur, Ram Kripal Yadav says, "I appeal to all voters to go to booths, vote and form a good and strong government. The public representatives in Danapur did not do any work there. Development work remains halted there. People are worried and incidents of crime are rising there...They want freedom from that. Sahibganj recorded the highest voter turnout of 15.86 per cent till 9 am. The lowest was recorded in Balkipur at 5.85 per cent.

The voter turnout in Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 was recorded 13.13 per cent till 9 am, as per Election Commission. According to the poll body, there are 10.72 lakh 'new electors' and 7.78 lakh voters are in the age group of 18-19 years. The total population of these constituencies, as stated by the ECI, is 6.60 crore.

In a heartwarming moment during the first phase of the Bihar Assembly Election 2025, a family in Vaishali carried an elderly woman to the polling booth so she could cast her vote. The gesture highlights unwavering faith in democracy and the determination of voters across generations. 

Mokama constituency has been in the headlines after the murder of Dularchand Yadav. Known for clashes between strongmen or 'bahubalis', Mokama will witness a contest between JD(U) candidate Anant Kumar Singh, who has been arrested in the murder case, and Veena Devi, wife of former MP and influential leader Surajbhan Singh.

When asked if he would be the CM if NDA forms the Govt again, Samrat Choudhary, Deputy CM and BJP candidate from Tarapur seat says, "Nitish Kumar ji is our 'mukhiya' and he will continue to be."

Tarapur seat in Munger district is witnessing a contest between Deputy Chief Minister and BJP's Samrat Choudhary, RJD's Arun Kumar and Jan Suraaj's Santosh Kumar Singh. The seat was won by the JD(U) candidates in the 2010 and 2015 polls.

Voting was halted at booth no. 1, Primary School Jakki, in Nalanda's Asthawan assembly constituency due to malfunctioning EVM, jagran.com reported.

The first phase of the 2025 assembly elections in Bihar began today at 7 am across 121 constituencies in 18 districts of the state's 243 seats, with approximately 3.75 crore electors casting their ballot. Polling will conclude at 6 pm, and due to security considerations, polling time has been curtailed to 5 pm in some constituencies.

After casting his vote, RJD leader and Mahagathbandhan's CM face Tejashwi Yadav said that a new government will be formed in November 14.

He said, "I appeal to the people of Bihar to cast their votes in large numbers, keeping in mind their present and future. Vote for employment, education, good healthcare... We are going to win, Bihar is going to win. A new government will be formed on 14th November..."

"I have visited many constituencies. I believe people will vote for the Grand Alliance for change. 'Change the government, save Bihar' is the understanding of the people of Bihar. The Grand Alliance will win, and Tejashwi Yadav will become the Chief Minister of the Grand Alliance," CPI leader D Raja said during the first phase of voting in the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025.

RJD leader Rohini Acharya wished Tej Pratap Yadav, who is in the fray from Mahua constituency.

"My blessings are with him. Do you not bless your siblings?" She further says, "Unemployment is going to be eradicated in Bihar this time. People in villages who are running from pillar to post for jobs need not go outside after 8 days. They will get jobs in Bihar itself," Rohini Acharya said.

After casting her vote, RJD leader Misa Bharti launched a scathing attack at the ruling NDA government in the state over Mokama murder.

"A cabinet minister of the NDA is saying lock up the poor and don't allow them to vote. This is Jungle Raj. The way murders are happening in Mokama, this is Jungle Raj. The youth and the people of Bihar have decided that this time, Tejashwi Yadav will become the Chief Minister. Mahagathbandhan government is going to be formed this time," Misa told reporters.

"Don't think about the numbers, it can cross 150-160 or even 200. I am not concerned about the numbers, but we are going to form the government for sure because the youth want this and they are concerned about their future," she added.

In the Mokama murder case, the police have so far arrested 80 accused including JDU candidate and 'Bahubali' Anant Singh.

Union Minister and LJP(RV) Chief Chirag Paswan says, " I urge everyone to exercise their Right to Vote. I would like it if Bihar witnessed voting being recorded in the first phase today. After you (Congress) raise discrepancies or complaints about voting, the ECI brings in SIR, but you still have a problem even with that. If they have so much trust in the information they have, then they should approach the court."

Union Home Minister Amit Shah posts on X, "Voters of Bihar, especially the youth, I urge you to vote in record numbers in the first phase of polling today. Each and every one of your votes will pave the way to prevent the return of jungle raj in Bihar, sustain good governance, and build a developed, self-reliant Bihar. Teach a lesson in this election to those who toy with the country's security by providing protection to infiltrators and Naxalites. Your vote will play a crucial role in restoring Bihar's pride, along with providing modern education to every resident of the state, welfare for the poor, and employment opportunities for the youth."

As she arrived to vote, former CM and RJD leader Rabri Devi said, "My best wishes to both my sons. Tej Pratap is contesting on his own. I am their mother. Good luck to both of them." She says, "I appeal to the people of Bihar to step out and vote and don't forget your right to vote..."

Tejashwi Yadav is in the fray from Raghopur. He has held the seat since 2015 and faces a tough challenge from BJP's Satish Kumar Yadav, who lost in the 2020 assembly elections.

Singer-actor and RJD candidate from Chapra, Khesari Lal Yadav urged citizens to vote actively saying that it will decide the future of their children.

He says, "You must indeed vote as this will decide the future of your children...I have not had breakfast. I woke up and came here to vote. If I do not do it, how can I inspire others to do so? Vote for whoever you want but this will decide the future of your children."

On exchange of words with Pawan Singh, he says, "My words will not bring development to Chapra or Bihar...We should not talk but work and discuss how we can develop Bihar..."

Tejashwi Yadav, who is Mahagathbandhan's chief ministerial candidate, is in the fray from Raghopur. He has held the seat since 2015 and faces a tough challenge from BJP's Satish Kumar Yadav. Tejashwi Yadav's estranged brother, Tej Pratap Yadav, who floated a new party Janshakti Janta Dal after his exit from RJD, has fielded Prem Kumar from the seat.Jan Suraaj Party, led by Prashant Kishor, has fielded Chanchal Singh and this could alter the dynamics in Raghopur.

Tej Pratap Yadav himself is contesting from Mahua constituency. Tarapur seat in Munger district is witnessing a contest between Deputy Chief Minister and BJP's Samrat Choudhary, RJD's Arun Kumar and Jan Suraaj's Santosh Kumar Singh. The seat was won by the JD(U) candidates in the 2010 and 2015 polls.

Bihar Minister and BJP candidate from Darbhanga, Sanjay Saraogi expressed confidence, stating that NDA will form the government once again in Bihar. 

He said, "The people are voting in the name of development. It looks like NDA will form the government with a majority. I have been a five-time MLA from here, and I will win the sixth time too. The public has come to vote with their minds made up to form the NDA government. The common man is with PM Modi and NDA."

According to the Election Commission, there are 10.72 lakh 'new electors' and 7.78 lakh voters are in the age group of 18-19 years. The total population of these constituencies, as stated by the Election Commission, is 6.60 crore. Presiding officers had handed over Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) to polling agents ahead of the polling day. As per news agency ANI, Central City Patna Superintendent of Police Diksha said all arrangements have been made for smooth and peaceful polling in the city.

Expressing enthusiam, voters showed their inked finger after casting their vote at a polling booth in Mahua. Voting is underway in the first phase of Bihar Election 2025.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, who is contesting from Lakhisarai constituency, casts his vote in the first phase of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. "We too participated in the grand festival of democracy. Through our votes, we elect the Prime Minister of the country and the Chief Minister of Bihar... Biharis will be proud, and today, Bihar will be free from those who abuse Biharis, those who bring anarchy, jungle raj, and gunda raj. Our leader, the Prime Minister, the Home Minister, the National President, and the Chief Minister of Bihar, all of them have said that as we celebrate the grand festival of public faith, everyone should participate in the grand festival of democracy with social harmony... RJD candidate from Mokama, Veena Devi appeals to the voters: "All of us should step out of our house and vote without fear or hesitation."

Bihar Minister Nitin Nabin, who is the BJP candidate from Bankipur, urges the people of Patna to go out and cast their votes today. I was the first to cast a vote at my polling booth. The people of Patna should create a record by casting maximum votes."

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav posts a video message for the people of Bihar, whom he referred to as the 'Bhagya vidhatas', the makers of Bihar's destiny. "Today is an important day for voting. The future fate of Bihar will be determined by the button you press. Voting is essential for the sake of democracy, the Constitution, and humanity."

The former Bihar deputy CM urges everyone to vote: "I appeal to all voters, especially Gen-Z voters casting their ballots for the first time, mothers and sisters, businessmen, farmers, migrants living in other states, every common citizen, every student seeking job coaching, every patient undergoing treatment for their illnesses and their families, and every eligible citizen of Bihar, to vote, and to vote under all circumstances. Bihar will prosper only if you all cast your ballot."

"Your vote will create opportunities for Bihar's progress. So, remember to cast your vote for Bihar's bright future. Vote first, remember, Everything else comes later," says Yadav.

The voting for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly Elections begins. 121 of the 243 Bihar Vidhan Sabha constituencies votes today.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi urges the people of Bihar to go out and vote with enthusiasm. "Today is the first phase of the festival of democracy in Bihar. My appeal to all voters in this phase is that they should vote with full enthusiasm. On this occasion, my special congratulations to all young voters of the state who are going to cast their vote for the first time," says PM Modi.

The ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar aims to retain power under the leadership of JDU veteran Nitish Kumar, while the Tejashwi Yadav-led Mahagathbandhan is vying to form the state government after a decade. Adding complexity to the race, the entry of poll strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party has made the contest a three-way battle.

Voters in the first phase of Bihar Election 2025 can get booth information from their local Booth Level Officer (BLO). Many districts have QR codes at public places that you can scan to locate your booth instantly. If you face difficulties online, visit your district election office for assistance. This is especially helpful for those not comfortable using the internet.

Mock-polling for Bihar Election 2025 phase 1 is currently underway at a polling booth in the Lakhisarai constituency. Voting will be held in 121 constituencies across 18 districts of the state today. The second phase of polling will take place on November 11.
