Bihar Vote Counting Set for Friday Amid High Security and Political Tensions. With just one night left, the fate of Bihar's political future is set to be decided as vote counting begins at 8 am on Friday. While security at the counting centres in 38 districts is three-tiered, anxiety in political circles remains high.

Record Turnout And The Female Vote

For the first time, Bihar has recorded a 67 per cent voter turnout. Women created history by voting 9 per cent more than men. Analysts believe that if the exit polls prove correct and the NDA returns to power, this female vote bank will be its greatest strength.

Political Rhetoric And Allegations

Although the situation appears calm, political rhetoric is at its peak. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav made allegations following the vote.

Initial Statement: The day after voting, he stated, "Whether they slow down the counting or conduct a flag march, our people will prevent vote theft. Whatever sacrifice is required, dishonesty will not be tolerated."

Wednesday Press Conference: He reiterated these concerns, alleging, "There is a conspiracy to slow down the counting. Foul play happened last time as well; this time the public will not remain silent."

Robust Security And Transparency Measures

The Election Commission has implemented robust arrangements to ensure security and transparency.

Surveillance: Strong rooms have been set up in every district and are under 24-hour CCTV surveillance. A live feed is being shown to candidates' agents to prevent any malpractice or suspicious activity.

Three-Tier Security: A three-tier security system is in place at all counting centres:

- First Layer: CAPF, CISF And CRPF

- Second Layer: Bihar Special Armed Police

- Third Layer: District police

Officer Oversight: Officers of Magistrate, ASP, and DSP rank are on round-the-clock surveillance.

The Counting Process

The counting process will be completely transparent and follow a clear schedule:

8:00 am: Counting of postal ballots will begin.

8:30 am: EVMs will be opened.

Tables: There will be 14 tables for each assembly seat, allowing 14 EVMs to be counted in one round.

First Trends: The first trends are expected to start coming in by 9 am.

According to sources, the result for the Mokama seat is likely to be announced first, while the Digha assembly result will be declared last.

In the capital, Patna, vote counting will take place at AN College. The area has been completely sealed, and traffic diversions will be in effect from the morning. The fate of Bihar's politics is now sealed within the strong rooms, under surveillance, waiting to be revealed.
