Bihar Government Formation Live Updates: The new Bihar government will be formed in the next three to four days after the National Democratic Alliance registered a landslide victory in the recently concluded Bihar Assembly Election 2025.
The five-party alliance has won 202 seats out of 243, with an impressive strike rate of over 83 per cent. The BJP has emerged as the single largest party with 89 seats, followed by its partner JDU, which clinched 85 seats.
Follwing the cabinet meeting of the NDA government on Monday, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was "authorised" to recommend dissolution of the current assembly.
Nitish Kumar will tender his resignation to Governor Arif Mohammad Khanfrom at Raj Bhavan on November 10. Meanwhile, amid the ongoing rift within the Lalu family and the allegations made by Rohini Acharya, Tejashwi Yadav will hold a meeting with RJD MLAs today to discuss the reasons behind the party’s defeat.
The government will be dissolved by November 19 and the swearing-in ceremony for new government will take place on November 20, as per alliance leaders. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s availability will also be kept in mind for this.
