The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken significant action in the fake railway job scam case in Bihar. The ED team conducted search operations at 15 locations across Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu. This action is being taken in connection with a money laundering case involving crores of rupees.

According to senior ED officials, this scam involves siphoning off money using fake documents in the name of railway employees. Several prominent names are allegedly involved, including judicial officers, lawyers, and government employees. The ED has specifically raided five locations in Patna, Nalanda, and Bengaluru.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had already registered a case in this matter under charges of criminal conspiracy, cheating, and other relevant sections. It is expected that the ED's action will soon lead to the apprehension of the main accused involved in the case.

What Is The Railway Scam?

The Railway Claims Scam is a major financial fraud in which compensation was fraudulently obtained in the names of people injured or killed in railway accidents. Compensation claims were filed in the names of numerous individuals who, in reality, were never victims of any such accidents.

This action by the ED serves as a message from the state and central governments that strict action will be taken in cases of corruption and financial fraud.
