In Bihar, the weather is expected to change starting tomorrow (Saturday). Most parts of the state will see cloudy skies, with a chance of light showers in some places. At the same time, a heavy rainfall alert has been issued for three districts: Purnia, Katihar and Kishanganj.
For today, a warning for thunderstorms and lightning has been issued for Patna and most other parts of the state. Strong winds moving at 30-40 kilometers per hour are also possible in these areas.
Over the past 24 hours, rainfall was recorded in several areas of the state, with the highest being 38.2 mm in Jale (Darbhanga district). Yesterday, the maximum temperature in Patna was 34.0 degrees Celsius, while Rajgir was the hottest place in the state at 34.5 degrees. People in Patna and surrounding areas were troubled by humid heat due to alternating cloudy and sunny skies. However, a drop in the maximum temperature was also recorded in 24 districts, including Patna.
According to the forecast from the Patna Meteorological Centre, some places in the northern parts of the state could see heavy rain over the next three to four days.
Looking at the rainfall recorded in other parts of the state, Marouna in Supaul district received 29.2 mm, Ghanshyampur (Darbhanga) got 28.8 mm, Nirmali (Supaul) saw 26.8 mm, and Gaunaha (West Champaran) had 26.4 mm. Similarly, Jhanjharpur (Madhubani) recorded 24.8 mm, Barbigha (Sheikhpura) 23 mm, Narpatganj (Supaul) 22.2 mm, Alinagar (Darbhanga) 20.6 mm, Hayaghat (Darbhanga) 20 mm, Raghopur (Supaul) 19 mm, Runnisaidpur (Sitamarhi) 18.6 mm, Bhore (Gopalganj) 17 mm, Khagaria 12.6 mm, Bausa (Supaul) 10.2 mm, Thakurganj (Kishanganj) 10 mm, Samastipur 7.8 mm, and Patepur (Vaishali) 7.6 mm.
As for the temperatures in major cities, Patna had a maximum of 34.0 and a minimum of 28.3 degrees Celsius. In Gaya, the maximum was 32.9 and the minimum was 25.6 degrees. Bhagalpur recorded a maximum of 33.1 and a minimum of 28.1 degrees, while Muzaffarpur's maximum was 33.0 and its minimum was 27.1 degrees Celsius.
