The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has revised the number of vacancies for the post of Assistant Public Sanitary and Waste Management Officer under the Urban Development and Housing Department. The posts have been increased from 54 to 60, with six additional seats added.

The application process, which began on September 5, will remain open until September 30. Eligible candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Environmental Science, or a BE/BTech degree in Chemistry, Civil, Environmental Science, Public Health Engineering, or Biotechnology.

Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Planning or Architecture may also apply. However, those who studied Chemistry or Environmental Science only as optional subjects at the graduate level are not eligible.

The selection process will be based solely on a written examination, with no interview. The exam will include two compulsory objective-type papers of two hours each. Paper-II will cover subjects such as Chemistry, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Public Health Engineering, Biotechnology, Planning, or Architecture. A total of 125 questions carrying 100 marks will be asked.
