There is good news for farmers who have not yet completed their Farmer Registry or e-KYC. Special camps are once again being set up in the district's panchayats (local self-government bodies) from Saturday. The district administration has decided to organise a second phase of special camps from 17 to 21 January to expedite the work of the Farmer Registry under the Agri Stack project. These camps will be organised in all 322 panchayats of the district.
District Magistrate Dr Thyagarajan SM stated that in the first phase, special camps were set up at the panchayat level from January 6 to 11 . Despite this, a large number of farmers have been left out of the Farmer Registry. The camps are being organised again so that such farmers can benefit from the various schemes of the Agriculture Department.
Importance Of Farmer Registry And Agri Stack Benefits
The DM clarified that without the Farmer Registry, farmers may face difficulties in availing the benefits of several important schemes. The objective of the Farmer Registry under the AgriStack project is to create a digital database of farmers, so that the benefits of government schemes, subsidies, seed distribution, crop insurance, and schemes like the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi can directly reach eligible farmers. Once the Farmer ID is created, farmers will not need to submit documents repeatedly, and transparency will also be ensured.
Documents Required For Registration
The District Magistrate has appealed to farmers to visit the special camps in their nearest panchayat and complete their Farmer Registry. For this, it is necessary to bring an Aadhaar card, land-related documents, and bank account details. In addition to the panchayat-level camps, the Farmer Registry facility has also been made available at Common Service Centres (CSCs) and Vasudha Kendras.

Online Registration And Helpline Numbers
Additionally, farmers can also complete the Farmer Registration online from home if they wish. For this, the process can be completed by visiting the Bharat Farmer Registry (BHFR) portal at agri-stack.gov.in.
