An 'Industry Dialogue' (Udyog Varta) was organised on Wednesday at the Red Cross Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Shashank Shubhankar.
Entrepreneurs Raise Key Issues
During the meeting, entrepreneurs prominently raised several issues concerning industrial areas. These included waterlogging, the need for uninterrupted power supply, the widening of approach roads to facilitate the easy transport of raw materials and finished products, and drainage problems. They also brought up issues related to reducing BIADA (Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority) land rates and the transfer of land possession in the Manpur area.
Vision For An Industrial Hub
The DM stated that to promote industry, discussions are being held with entrepreneurs in every area. He assured them that their suggestions and problems are being addressed rapidly so that Gaya district can be developed into a large-scale hub for industry and trade in the coming days.
Assistance At Every Level
He emphasised that entrepreneurs are being assisted at every level to boost industry in the district. The state government is also continuously encouraging entrepreneurs to set up new industries. Expressing satisfaction, he mentioned that a mapping exercise has been conducted through the District Industry Officer to identify which types of industries are currently operational in various blocks of the district.

Focus On Electricity And Infrastructure
The DM instructed the engineers of the Electricity Department to provide immediate solutions to the power-related suggestions and problems raised during the meeting. Issues related to infrastructure were also noted, with an assurance of resolution. The Executive Engineer of the Electricity Department stated that efforts are being made to improve the power supply in the Manpur area to further boost the industry.
Prompt Resolution Promised
The DM directed officials from all concerned departments to resolve the issues raised by the entrepreneurs quickly. He specifically assured that all electricity-related complaints brought up during the dialogue would be addressed with urgency.

Regular Meetings To Continue
The District Magistrate announced that such meetings would be held regularly and that all problems related to industry and investment would be handled on a priority basis. This meeting is expected to prove a significant step towards encouraging industrial development and investment in the district.

The meeting was attended by City Superintendent of Police Kota Kiran Kumar, Municipal Commissioner Abhishek Palasia, Sub-Divisional Officer (Sadar) Anil Kumar Raman, Executive Engineers (Electricity and RCD), the General Manager of the District Industry Center, the Deputy General Manager of BIADA, and Central Bihar Chamber of Commerce President Vipendra Agarwal and Anoop Kedia, among other officials.
