Lokmanya Tilak Express Extended To Rajgir, Offering Direct Mumbai Link; Check Train Schedule

The Railway Board has decided to extend the Lokmanya Tilak Express to Rajgir, and its timetable has been released. The train was previously running between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Patna. This extension will enhance regional connectivity, facilitating a smoother journey for passengers to Rajgir.

The Railway Board has approved the extension of the Lokmanya Tilak Express up to Rajgir, enhancing connectivity for passengers. While the timetable has been released, the East Central Railway will announce the operational start date shortly.

According to the schedule, train number 13201 Rajgir-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express will depart from Rajgir at 8:45 PM, halting at Nalanda (9:00 PM), Bihar Sharif (9:20 PM), Bakhtiyarpur (9:52 PM), Fatuha (10:15 PM), Patna Sahib (10:28 PM) and Patna Junction (11:45 PM), before arriving at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 10:50 AM the following day.

On the return journey, train number 13202 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Rajgir Express will leave Mumbai at 2:45 PM, reaching Patna Junction at 12:10 AM, and further stopping at Patna Sahib (12:35 AM), Fatuha (12:47 AM), Bakhtiyarpur (1:20 AM), Bihar Sharif (1:53 AM), Nalanda (2:11 AM), and Rajgir at 3:00 AM

Railway officials said the extension will improve regional connectivity and provide passengers with direct access to Rajgir.

Meanwhile, the Danapur division has appointed a new Chief Inspector of Tickets (CIT) in charge at nine stations to strengthen ticket inspection. The new in-charges include Arvind Kumar Hembrom (Jamalpur), Mahendra Chaudhary (Kiul), Nirbhay Paswan (Barauni), HK Das (Rajendra Nagar Terminal), Mani Baraik (Patna Junction), Shankar Kumar (Danapur), MB Ojha (Patliputra), CP Yadav (Ara), and Sanjay Kumar (Buxar).

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Abhinav Sidharth directed that all officials must complete handover and takeover procedures immediately and report any issues in writing. The move aims to bring more transparency and efficiency to the ticket inspection system.
