The district administration has initiated concrete measures to ensure the safe and uninterrupted development of industries in Bihar. Following complaints regarding security in Muzaffarpur’s Bela Industrial Area, District Magistrate Subrat Kumar Sen has issued direct instructions to the local Station House Officer (SHO) to strengthen security arrangements in the area.

During an entrepreneur-administration dialogue programme held at the BIADA office in Bela, industrialists flagged issues including theft incidents, inadequate lighting, and the absence of regular police patrolling. Entrepreneurs stressed that smooth industrial operations are not possible without a secure environment.

Taking the concerns seriously, the District Magistrate directed that the Bela SHO’s mandatory participation be ensured in future meetings. He also instructed officials to increase the frequency of police patrols and conduct a review of existing security measures in the industrial area. Senior Superintendent of Police Sushil Kumar was also present at the meeting.

The administration’s prompt action was visible the same evening, with two police patrol vehicles deployed in the industrial area. Officials of the North Bihar Entrepreneurs’ Association termed the move a positive step, saying it has boosted confidence among entrepreneurs regarding their safety.
